Skiing

Skiing at Sainte Foy

There are 3, fast three-man chairs serving all of the principal pisted runs and drag lifts on the two small nursery slopes. Here there is a full selection of runs for all standards of skier. There are tree-lined greens, gentle blues, wide and fast reds and challenging blacks. For complete beginners, there is an adult and a children's nursery slope. Don't be confused by the seemingly small number of lifts. They are all incredibly under-utilised and provide quick and easy access to an area that would have 12 or more lifts in any busier resort. In fact, the future developable ski area here is bigger than that existing in Val d'Isere!

Snowboarding

Home to many top riders, Sainte Foy is the ultimate snowboard playground for all levels of rider! There are wide open slopes, extensive forests and countless drops and hits. Everywhere you look there are superb routes and even days after a snowfall you won't need to look hard for fresh snow. Receiving rave reviews in all magazine features, Sainte Foy could be referred to as "Simply the Best". Try it once and you won't ever want to go anywhere else.

Off Piste

For off-piste fanatics, Sainte Foy is unbeatable! Those in the know from nearby resorts like Val d'Isere and Les Arcs, sneak off to enjoy "their" closely guarded secret that is untouched powder slopes, even three or four days after the last fresh snowfall – we don't have to sneak off!

There is an enormous variety of easily accessible off-piste terrain. Take a guide, and slightly further afield you can also discover the delights of the Fogliettaz (1400m of amazing off-piste back to Chalet Number One, for tea!) or the route to Les Pigettes.

Heli-skiing is also possible at Sainte Foy, via the Italian side of neighbouring La Rosiere.

Nearby Resorts – "Val d'Isere, Tignes, Les Arcs and La Rosiere are waiting to be explored and enjoyed!"

Why not take a day or two in one of the larger neighbouring resorts during your stay? Val d'Isere, Tignes, Les Arcs and La Rosiere are all within easy reach of Chalet Number One.

These resorts should need no introduction to the experienced skier and snowboarder. To the uninitiated, they can offer an enjoyable contrast to the quiet haven of Sainte Foy, although we expect you'll be grateful to return afterwards (Sainte Foy's converted many a "doubting Thomas").

Don't forget that Val d'Isere and Tignes both have glaciers and so there is no danger of missing out on the snow at any time of year. The glacier at Tignes offers excellent skiing 365 days a year!
